GOOD MORNING, JAMIE. THE SCENE HERE WAS MOSTLY CLEAR BY 11:00 LAST NIGHT AFTER STATE POLICE RESPONDED TO WHAT THEY’RE CALLING DISTURBANCE AROUND 830 LAST NIGHT. NOW, ACCORDING TO THE MANCHESTER POLICE LOG, THE INITIAL CALL CAME IN A REPORTING A RIOT AT THE JOHN H. SUNUNU, THE YOUTH SERVICES CENTER ON RIVER ROAD. HOWEVER, STATE POLICE ARE NOT CALLING IT THAT. THEY SAY THE CENTER STAFF CALLED LAWN FORCE MEN TO ASSIST WITH THE, QUOTE, UNRULY GROUP OF YOUTH THAT WERE REFUSING TO COOPERATE AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. NOW, AFTER POLICE GOT TO THE SCENE, THEY SAY THEY WERE ABLE TO GET SITUATION UNDER CONTROL AND RESOLVED. AT THIS POINT, STATE POLICE ARE NOT SAYING IF ANYONE WAS HURT OR HOW MANY KIDS WERE INVOLVED. Police responded to a disturbance call Tuesday evening at the John H. Sununu Youth Services Center. State police said they responded to the call at 8:24 p.m. on River Road. The call came in for reports of a riot, however, state police are not calling it that.State police said the staff called law enforcement to assist with an "unruly group of youth that were refusing to cooperate and follow instructions."After police arrived at the scene, they said they were able to get the situation under control, and resolve it. State police did not provide information on if anyone was hurt or how many kids were involved. This is a developing story. More information will be reported as it becomes available.
