PROJECT THOUSANDS OF STATE OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE BEEN WORKING FROM HOME FOR MORE THAN TWO YEARS NOW WILL SOON BE BACK IN THE OFFICE A STATE AND ALLOWED MOST EMPLOYEES TO WORK FROM HOME DURING THE PANDEMIC. BUT WHEN THE EMERGENCY HEALTH ORDER ENDED MANY WENT BACK TO WORK IN PERSON THOSE WHO REMAINED ON A WORK FROM HOME SCHEDULE, WE’RE LAST WEEK THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO TURN TO THE OFFICE STARTING SEPTEMBER 12TH. THE VIDEO SENT TO EMPLOYEES OF THE CABINET FOR HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES. SECRETARY ERIC FRIEDLANDER SAID THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE A BALANCED WORK ENVIRONMENT. Thousands of state government employees who have been working from home for more than two years will soon be back in the office.The state allowed most employees to work from home during the pandemic, but when the emergency health order ended, many went back to work in person.Those who remained on a work-from-home schedule were told last week that they will have to return to the office on Sept. 12.In a video sent to employees of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, secretary Eric Friedlander said the goal is to provide a balanced work environment."A balance of being in the office with your co-workers, which supports our work culture, builds morale, helps provide consistency and ensures onsite office coverage during our core business hours," Friedlander said.Workers who don't have a physical need to be in the office, including those who don't interact with the public, can work from home two days a week.
