Chautauqua County Executive P.J. Wendel has announced the appointment of Ashville resident Timothy Card as the county's new Director of Public Facilities. Card will begin his new position on September 6th, replacing former DPF Director Brad Bentley, who resigned in December 2021.
Since 1990, Card has worked for the Town of Harmony, serving for six years as a motor equipment operator before becoming the highway superintendent in 1996. In this position, he was responsible for overseeing all highway operations and employees, managing a municipal building expansion, designing and overseeing a salt storage facility project, and managing the budget and purchasing for all equipment and maintenance. Prior to his position with the town, he worked at Maplevale Farms, Inc. as a forklift operator and truck driver.
Wendel says, "I am proud to welcome Tim Card to our team. He is a lifelong resident of Chautauqua County and I believe his 26 years of experience in overseeing municipal facilities, grounds, roads and transfer station operations will be a great asset to our Department of Public Facilities."
