Police: Jewelry and electronics stolen in string of off-campus burglaries at Boston College

BOSTON — Authorities announced on Tuesday they’ve received multiple reports of off-campus burglaries near Boston College.

The residential housebreaks happened during the evening and early morning hours in the Foster Street and Radnor Road neighborhoods of Brighton, according to Boston College Police.

A suspect was seen fleeing from a residence in that area. Law enforcement officials say he is described as a 5′9″, 150-175 pound man wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt and gloves.

According to police, the victims have reported multiple items taken during the break ins, including jewelry and laptops.

  • Lock your doors and windows, including patio doors and windows on upper floors, and keep those access points secured at all times.
  • Remove or secure air-conditioners that are in windows.
  • Keep items such as ladders secured and away from your residence.
