PNC Bank Arts Center presents Shinedown

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Multi-platinum rock band Shinedown – who were named #1 on Billboard’s Greatest Of All Time Mainstream Rock Artists Chart in 2021 – is on the road this year in support of their brand-new album, Planet Zero, with their biggest stage show yet. The Planet Zero World Tour with special guests Jelly Roll and John Harvie, produced by Live Nation, stops in over 20 cities across the U.S. this September and October including Holmdel on Saturday, September 10 at PNC Bank Arts Center. The concert begins at 7:00pm.

Just released July 1st via Atlantic Records, Planet Zero, the band’s seventh studio album, features the hard-hitting title track and lead single “Planet Zero,” which has amassed over 11 million streams and notched the band their 18th #1 at Active Rock Radio, and their current single “Daylight,” a soaring and poignant anthem about the human condition, offering an assurance that you are never alone. The album’s searing social commentary boldly confronts the consequences of the pervasive divisiveness in our society while offering a restorative path forward through empathy and open conversation.

On songs like “No Sleep Tonight, “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo,” and “Sure Is Fun,” Shinedown is taking on the societal forces that keep us divided, including cancel culture, the toxicity between those of differing ideologies, the need for honesty in our public discourse, and the corrosive effects of social media on our ability to have a healthy dialogue with one another. Planet Zero’s ultimate message of perseverance, triumph, and human connection shines through on tracks like “A Symptom of Being Human,” “Hope,” and “Daylight.”

Planet Zero, produced by Shinedown’s Eric Bass, is the latest addition to Shinedown’s record-breaking catalog that has earned the band recognition for their timely and relevant messages behind their chart-topping hits that resonate with not only their global audience and the rock community, but the greater public and our culture at large. With more than 6.5 billion global streams, a Billboard record for the most mainstream rock #1 hits ever, platinum or gold certification for all their albums, 10 million albums sold, and major media praise, Shinedown has cemented their status as one of the most vital and forward-thinking powerhouses in music.

Tickets are available for purchase online.  The PNC Bank Arts Center is located off Garden State Parkway Exit 116 in Holmdel, New Jersey.

Multi-platinum, record-breaking band Shinedown – Brent Smith [vocals], Zach Myers [guitar], Eric Bass [bass, production], and Barry Kerch [drums] – have achieved astronomical success with their combustible yet artfully crafted sound and penetrating lyrics while embodying the kind of creative dynamism that defies expectation and transcends boundaries. They were named #1 on Billboard’s Greatest Of All Time Mainstream Rock Artists Chart, after notching the most ever #1s (17) in the 40-year history of the Mainstream Rock Songs Chart with a string of consecutive #1 hit singles “Atlas Falls,” “ATTENTION ATTENTION,” “GET UP,” “MONSTERS,” and “DEVIL.”

With over 6.5 billion global streams, 18 #1 Active Rock hits, 10 million albums sold worldwide, 14 platinum and gold singles, platinum or gold certification for all their albums, all 28 career singles reaching the Top 5 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs Chart, and countless sold-out arena tours, Shinedown have also become an essential cultural force as evidenced by their major media acclaim and participation in the prestigious 92Y Talks series.  The band’s 2018’s acclaimed album, ATTENTION ATTENTION, debuted in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 and simultaneously hit #1 on Billboard's Alternative, Top Rock and Hard Rock Albums Charts.  Shinedown also recently made their ATTENTION ATTENTION feature film available worldwide. A stunning visual counterpart to their 2018 acclaimed album of the same name, the film, directed by Bill Yukich (Beyoncé, Metallica, Wiz Khalifa), brings to life the album’s narrative about a mental health journey and the resolve of the human spirit, weaving together 14 songs into a provocative and thought-provoking cinematic story that illuminates yet another dimension of Shinedown’s limitless creativity.
