Lincoln Police warns of fake social media post regarding potential serial killer

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police say a social media post going around regarding a potential serial killer in town is not real.

The post from a local Facebook group says a serial killer or abductor is hunting in Lincoln.

It warns people to keep an eye out for a man driving a truck with LED lights around town.

Early on Tuesday, police were made aware of the social media post and wanted to let the community know that it was fake.

Police have found several other postings of this same story on social media, but with different city names.
