The Marshall County Commission took action Tuesday on the first round of its American Rescue Plan Act funding or ARPA Loss Revenue Grant Program.

This program provides ARPA money to Marshall County businesses that saw a 20% or more loss of revenue through COVID-19.
Thirty businesses were approved and three were denied. More than $400,000 will be disbursed between the businesses.
"This money is not project money, it is lost revenue replacement,” Marshall County Administrator Betsy Frohnapfel explained. So, hopefully, this goes back into their revenues, and they are able to stay afloat and make up for any losses."

Applications will be accepted until Sept. 30.
