LIVONIA (WWJ) -- Does anyone recognize this alleged shoplifter caught on camera?
The Livonia Police Department is asking for the public's help to ID a man who stole a large lithium ion battery from Hunt’s Ace Hardware on 7 Mile Rd., near Farmington Rd. in Livonia.
Seen in store suvelience footage released by police on Tuesday, a man in a red mask selects a Milwaukee battery and pulls it down from the display. After he walks away with the item around a corner and down another aisle, the man is seen concealing the battery under his shirt.
Police said the suspect then exited the store without paying for the battery, and left the area on foot.
Anyone who can identify the man is asked to call Det. Jeffrey Geldhof at 734-466-2338 and reference case number 22-25909. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
