LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Help continues to pour in for eastern Kentucky from all over. Father Jim Sichko is the latest to offer up support. After putting out a plea for donations, he’s gathered thousands in needed items, and gift cards and even partnered with Toyota to donate a car to those in need.

Sichko said that it’s important that everyone find a way to give back if they can.

“Well, it’s important because we never know when we’re going to have the shoe on the other foot. You know, seriously, we all have been blessed in the bluegrass. Every one of us can do something good for one another and there’s something very rewarding in that,” said Father Jim Sichko, Missionary of Mercy for Pope Francis.
