Working moms know all about the struggle of the work-life balance. And, according to a recent interview with Elle, it seems like Adele is no stranger to juggling multi-faceted roles as well.

The mom of one recently opened up about her hopes for the future of her family and her career. Adele, 34, has a nine-year-old son, Angelo, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Simon Konecki.

In the intimate new interview Adele says, “I definitely want more kids.”

Although, she adds that she’s more focused on her Las Vegas residency than anything else at the moment.

“I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music. But right now, all I got in my brain is Vegas,” she says.

As any parent can probably attest to, if you have a healthy headspace when it comes to family matters then you’re better able to give parts of yourself to all of other commitments you might have. And it seems when it comes to Adele’s career and family life, it’s no different even if she is a celebrity!

The residency, “Weekends With Adele,” was set to start months ago but was canceled earlier this year. Adele posted an emotional video in January telling fans that she felt she had to do it in order to give them a better show. Saying that the current set up wasn’t authentic to her.

“There was just no soul in it,” Adele said about the cancellation. “The stage setup wasn’t right. It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy. And maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment.”

The working mom’s newest album chronicles the different stages of emotions she went through while dealing with her divorce. And, she even included a song to help her son better understand her choices. Children have a hard time understanding their parents’ choices when it comes to separation or divorce, even, as Adele put it, if it’s for the “right reasons.”

It’s often true that even if a parent knows they’re doing the right thing, whether it’s for themselves or their child, that choice can still be very difficult for children to understand and that’s when you can cue the guilt. And from what Adele had to say on the matter in a previous interview, she definitely had a case of mom guilt.

“If I can reach the reason why I left, which was the pursuit of my own happiness, even though it made Angelo really unhappy—if I can find that happiness and he sees me in that happiness, then maybe I’ll be able to forgive myself for it.”

Adele and Konecki split in 2019 and got divorced in 2021. Although there are rumors that she’s now engaged to boyfriend, Rich Paul, 40, a sports agent, she says they are not true.

“I’m not engaged,” she told Elle in the same interview. “I just love high-end jewelry, boy!”

“I’m not married,” she added. “I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.”

Adele and Paul have known each other for many years but their relationship has only recently become more romantic. They are currently renovating their house together with their blended family in mind.
