A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Frackville on Monday afternoon.
Emergency personnel were called to the area of Wells Fargo on South Lehigh Avenue in Frackville around 3:45pm for a report of a pedestrian struck.
The victim, a woman, was reported have sustained serious injuries and was transported to a waiting helicopter and flown to an area hospital.
Witnesses reported the roadway being blocked off by fire apparatus while the victim was being tended to at the scene.
