Coroner ID’s man found dead in Harrison Twp. after apparent hit-and-run crash

HARRISON TWP. — A man found dead on a Harrison Twp. street early Monday morning was hit by a vehicle that didn’t stay on the scene after the crash, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Mark Danley, 58, of Dayton, was identified as the victim, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Investigators determined the man appeared to have been hit by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics, deputies said.

Deputies and medics were called to reports of an unresponsive person on Philadelphia Drive north of West Siebenthaler Avenue just before 7:30 a.m. Monday, deputies said in a media release issued Monday afternoon.

The vehicle suspected of hitting the man was not on the scene. Deputies did not indicate if they have any suspects or suspect vehicles.
