Ever since being drafted in the third round (75th overall) by the Chiefs in the 2018 NFL Draft, defensive lineman Derrick Nnadi has been a productive player up front. Nnadi has played in 64 games over four years, starting in 52 of them. Going into free agency this past offseason, many around the league expected Nnadi to go elsewhere – so it came as (somewhat) of a surprise when he ended up re-signing on a one-year contract with the Chiefs. Speaking to 610's Cody and Gold at the team's training camp recently, Nnadi explained what into his decision to return.

"It really went down to the camaraderie with my D-line," he said. "I'm more comfortable here playing with my guys. And after a lot of conversations during the process with [Chiefs defensive line coach] Joe Cullen, I felt like this would be the perfect spot to elevate my game, working with him."
