One dead in Albert Lea house fire

One person died in a house fire in Albert Lea. 

Fire crews were dispatched to the 1700 block of Eberhardt St at around 2:15 Saturday morning. 

A neighbor informed crews that someone could be inside the home.  Firefighters searched the home and found the person, who was transported to Mayo Clinic Albert Lea.  That person subsequently died. 

Fire damages are estimated at $27,000.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s office.
