ORION TOWNSHIP, MI -- A 48-year-old Albanian man has been arraigned on a charge of open murder in connection with the death of Gregory Robertson, a 49-year-old Pontiac man, Fox 2 Detroit reports. Astrit Bushi was arrested Thursday morning at the General Motors plant and arraigned on the charge Saturday morning.

Details are limited, but prosecutors accused Bushi of killing Robertson during a fight between the two men. The men worked together as cleaners that were hired to work in the plant, but it is unknown what started the fight.

Robertson was pronounced dead Thursday morning after he was found unconscious in a dock area of the plant. When police arrived on the scene, Bushi was located not very far from Robertson’s body, according to police.

Bushi, who is a resident alien in the U.S. requested a court-appointed lawyer in the case through an interpreter and is due back in court on Aug. 23. He was denied bond in the case and is currently at the Oakland County jail.
