MILL CREEK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities received and responded to reports of a two-person vehicle collision with injuries on the Back Road near Mill Creek on Wednesday.
Reports from Deputy S. R. Davis of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department indicate that a motor vehicle accident was reported on Wednesday, at which time Deputy Davis responded and spoke with the drivers of both vehicles.
The drivers were identified as Sterling McLean and Carl Mallow, and informed Deputy Davis of what had occurred leading to the accident.
McLean advised that, while traveling south on the Back Road, he believes his front driver’s side tire to have been punctured, causing him to lose control of his vehicle which then swerved into the travel lane on the other side of the road.
Mallow, who had been traveling north on the Back Road, was unable to avoid a collision with the oncoming vehicle.
Following the accident, both vehicles had been rendered undrivable, and were towed at the request of the owners by Colonial Court Towing.
Prior to the arrival of Deputy Davis, emergency medical personnel were informed by McClean that he had struck his face on the windshield during the accident, causing injury to his nose.
Nonetheless, no major injuries or property damage was reported, and both drivers denied treatment from medical personnel.
