A new lawsuit filed by Ashley Judd revealed that she was still able to find Naomi Judd alive after the late singer shot herself.

In pursuit of blocking the release of autopsy and toxicology reports of Naomi, Ashley submitted a new court filing on Friday months after her mother's death. Aside from preventing the publication of private details, she also revealed once-unknown information about the singer's passing.

The Daily Beast and other news outlets obtained the document in which Ashley told a judge that she found her mother alive following the self-inflicted gunshot wound. She also stayed with her for 30 minutes until the responders arrived.

However, no one was able to save her as she eventually died on April 30 at the age of 76.

RadarOnline noted that Ashley's claims could be supported by the video recorded by the bodycam of Williamson County Sheriff's Department's cops.

Still, the family does not want any of those to become available to the public.

"(The Judds) will suffer significant trauma and irreparable harm in the form of emotional distress, pain and mental anguish should these records be released. Moreover, the release of these records would continue to cause the entire family personal and public pain for years to come as they would undoubtedly live in perpetuity on the internet," attorney J. Michael Shipman II said.

The legal representative added that the dissemination of details would only lead to irreparable harm to Naomi's bereaved family.

In addition, both Ashley and Larry Strickland were both unaware that their interviews with the police were being recorded.

Naomi Judd's Tragic Death

In April, Ashley and Wynnona Judd shared a statement with the Associated Press confirming their mother's death.

"Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness," the daughters said. "We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory."

At that time, they were yet to share Naomi Judd's cause of death, but journalist Micah Kennedy shared an article on News Channel 5, saying that Naomi passed away after taking her own life.

Naomi had been open about her mental health struggles since she first spoke about it in her 2016 book, "River of Time: My Descent into Depression and How I Emerged with Hope." She revealed that she experienced the worst after her tour since she was suppressing her memories related to child molestation.

She then told Good Morning America that she was diagnosed with treatment-resistant severe depression.
