Suspect faces attempted murder charges after shooting in Greenville Co.

Thomas Truman is charged with 3 counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon, and discharging a firearm into a crowd.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after someone opened fire on a crowd on Saturday night.

According to deputies, the shooting happened near Hawkins and Ninth Street in the Judson Community at around 8 p.m. The suspect allegedly drove by a group of people and started shooting. However, no one was injured.

Deputies said the suspect, Thomas Truman, was taken into custody on Blackwood Street. They added that he was charged with the following.

  • 3 counts of Attempted Murder
  • Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime
  • Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling
