1h agoA child is dead after being struck by a NJ Transit train in Point Pleasant Beach Sunday afternoon.
NJ Transit says a train that departed Long Branch shortly after 3:45 p.m. that was bound for Bay Head struck the child at the Forman Avenue crossing.
The victim was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The age of the victim was unknown at of Sunday night.
There were no other reported injuries to the passengers and crew on board the train.
