TULSA, Okla — A teenager is dead after being shot in the head near a Tulsa shopping center on Sunday.
Police responded to a call around 6:40 p.m. about a possible shooting at a shopping center near 21st and Garnett. When they arrived, they found 17-year-old Jordan Esteban with a gunshot wound in the head.
While on the scene, they met with witnesses and the person claiming responsibility for the shooting, Oscar Zermeno. They all claim the shooting was accidental after
Esteban was taken to a local hospital. Homicide detective Brandon Watkins said Monday the boy died later that night around 9:30 p.m.
Zermeno is in police custody and facing manslaughter charges. At this time, TPD is not looking for any other suspects.
