Kansas Wesleyan University Athletics have agreed to a partnership with Opendorse, the leading name, image, and likeness (NIL) marketplace for collegiate student-athletes, to create a platform for student-athletes to develop partnerships with brands, supporters, and local businesses.

Kansas Wesleyan becomes the first member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference to develop a NIL partnership with Opendorse.

Opendorse will provide Kansas Wesleyan student-athletes the ability to connect with supporters for NIL deals while remaining compliant under NAIA guidelines. As part of the agreement, Opendorse will provide KWU student-athletes educational resources, generate the necessary tax documents, and provide a social media audit. KWU student-athletes also gain access to the Opendorse marketplace, where businesses and supporters can offer partnership opportunities and complete payments.

"Name, Image, and Likeness is something that can make a major impact for our student-athletes, but, we have to ensure it's done responsibly and in compliance with the NAIA Handbook," Kansas Wesleyan Director of Athletics Steve Wilson said. "This Partnership with Opendorse not only helps us manage compliance on a complex set of rules, but it also opens new doors for our student-athletes. I am thrilled with the partnership, and eager to see it open doors to benefit Kansas Wesleyan and its student-athletes."

Kansas Wesleyan's student-athletes and their supporters can begin joining the marketplace immediately through the Opendorse app, or at Opendorse.com.

Opendorse is the exclusive NIL partner of the NAIA, offering NAIA education and services to all NAIA member institutions and student-athletes.
