Police seek public’s help finding 1-year-old boy taken by his father

Utica, N.Y. -- The Utica Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 1-year-old boy in what they describe as a “potential custodial interference investigation.”

Police said Sunday the child’s father, Christopher Lawson, 29, left a residence on Erie Street with his son, Alex-zander Stevens, and did not return. The child was last seen wearing white pajamas with sharks printed on them and “shark” shoes, police said.

Lawson is known to frequent the Oneida Square area but has not been seen there today, police said.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the whereabouts of Lawson or the boy contact the Utica Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 223-3510.
