Goodwill opens a new store in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Residents looking for thrift finds, a job or a place to donate gently used items, can visit the new Goodwill store in Kissimmee.

The store is at the Osceola Village Shopping Center, accepting donations and offering affordable shopping.

So far, the store has created 65 jobs in the area.

“The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is five and six times the national average,” Goodwill President and CEO Edward Durkee said. “So when Goodwill comes into a community like this, we can provide the services and support they need to transition back into the workforce.”

This is the fifth Goodwill store in Central Florida that has opened since May 2020 and the second retail store in Kissimmee.
