Car hits crowd outside Pennsylvania bar, killing 1 and injuring 17

Aug 14 (Reuters) - At least one person was killed and 17 injured on Saturday when a car struck a crowd outside a bar in Berwick, Pennsylvania, where a group was raising money to benefit the victims of a recent fire, according to police and local media.

A 24-year-old man was charged Sunday with two counts of criminal homicide in connection with the death at the bar and a separate fatality. Police say that after striking the crowd around 6 p.m. (2200 GMT), Adrian Oswaldo Sura Reyes traveled to nearby Nescopeck, where police said he killed a woman.

Police did not identify the woman or give a motive. The Times Leader newspaper quoted the Luzerne County coroner's office as saying the 56-year-old woman was the suspect's mother.

A judge ordered Reyes held without bail after a hearing on Sunday, Pennsylvania State Police said.

A lawyer for Reyes could not immediately be located Sunday.

I guess it's time to start putting a ban on cars. And letting people who get killed by them sue the manufacturer. Just like they wanna do with the guns.

Sorry for the losses and those that are impacted from this chaos. I think we need to pass a bill on banning cars now. These dangerous assault cars need to be taken off the street.

live free or die

I think many would like to know if he is an illegal . And if he is , this is all on Biden and the puppeteer that is pulling his strings and writing down what to say and do , or better yet , not do . As a president , he is to protect the US citizens from terror , foreign and domestic . obviously since he is allowing the illegal entry on our southern border , he is neglecting his sworn duty . Something similar happened to a speaker that got stabbed at the Chautauqua institute by a foreigner. let's go Brandon .
