Woman injured after vehicle went airborne

An area woman was seriously injured Sunday morning after her vehicle went airborne. Sixty-five-year-old Dotty Rodkey of Pontiac was transported by ambulance to Baxter Health from the scene in Ozark County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Rodkey was traveling on Missouri Route W. She was nearly six miles east of Pontiac when her vehicle cross the center line and ran off the left side of the road. The vehicle then impacted a driveway, went airborne, slid across the roadway and came to its final rest when it hit a utility pole. Rodkey was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.

Rodkey’s vehicle had extensive damage in the 8:45 a.m. accident.
