The other day, I saw an old Jeep around Rochester, Minnesota that was missing a pretty vital piece.  The entire windshield was missing and all I could think of was, "Man! I bet they get a ton of bugs in their face when they are driving around.".  Then I got curious and started to wonder if that was even legal in the state of Minnesota.

Can you legally drive without a windshield on your car in Minnesota?

I did some research the other day after I drove next to a Jeep Wrangler that was missing a windshield.  It was super cute and is a dream car for me, but I wasn't sure what the rules actually were for driving around town without that safety glass in front of your face.

According to the Meshbesher & Spence Lawyers' website, the following statement was made regarding if you can drive legally without a windshield:

Having a windshield on your car is not specifically required anywhere in Minnesota statutes. Though we highly recommend them!  If you do have a windshield, then you’re required by law to have working windshield wipers installed on your vehicle

According to the part about having working windshield wipers, there is a vehicle that I drove the other day that should no longer be driven.  #JustSayin'
