Indiana County first responders stayed busy on Friday as a number of incidents were reported to Indiana County 911.
The 37th brush fire of the year was reported last evening around 8:48 p.m., and it sent Coal Run/McIntyre Fire Department to McGee Road in Young Township. Details on what caused the fire and potential damage have not been released yet.
Indiana Fire Association responded to two automatic fire alarm activations on Friday, both of which came from Carriage House apartments. The first happened at 8:57 a.m. and crews one and four responded. Crews two and three responded to the second around 1:40 p.m.
Fire officials said the alarms activated due to troubles with their system and they are looking into service and repairs.
The fifth call of the day was a reported carbon monoxide fire alarm activation along Carnahan Road in Washington Township around 5:41 a.m. Creekside Fire Department was dispatched for that call.
