1 dead after teen shot in head, crashes car on Kissimmee Lane in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Raleigh police are investigating after a man was fatally shot in the head causing him to crash his car Friday evening.

Officers responded to the 5400 block of Kissimmee Lane at approximately 5:22 p.m. and found one deceased male, Raleigh police said.

Sources told CBS 17 a second vehicle was seen driving by the eventual victim who fired shots into the man’s car in what could be a possible drive-by.

Police tape can be seen blocking surrounding streets and driveways on Kissimmee Lane, and a white cloth can be seen over at least one vehicle.

Just after 9 p.m., police said the man who died was the sole driver of a vehicle that crashed on the street.

The CBS 17 crew on scene also confirmed electricians were on scene, but officials said they would not release why at this time.

Officials and CBS 17 have crews on-scene and this is a developing story. The news crew reports at least 10 police cruisers on site just after 7 p.m. and this has not changed as of 9:15 p.m.
