Williamsport bound! The Hollidaysburg Little League team has punched its ticket to the Little League World Series after defeating Delaware in the Mid-Atlantic regional final Friday afternoon.

The Hollidaysburg Tigers defeated Delaware Friday by a score of 7-3, and finished the regional tournament with a record of 3-1.

Hollidaysburg is the first Blair County team to ever advance to the Little League World Series.

Tigers fans gathered in Hollidaysburg Friday for a watch party at Tigers Stadium. When the Tigers claimed victory, the crowd went wild (video below).

The Little League World Series kicks off next Wednesday, Aug. 17.

According to the bracket, Hollidaysburg will play its first game of the tournament on Thursday, August 18, against the winner of the Southwest region.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN 2.
