Police have now found a 12-year-old boy who went missing from a hospital after being admitted with a head injury.
Officers from Lancashire Police had been 'very concerned' for the safety of Joseph Steeley, who was last seen at Royal Lancaster Infirmary on Wednesday night.
Police said he was receiving treatment after 'taking off his bike'.
Officers had appealed for information about the missing young lad, who they said 'needs to return to hospital'.
The spokesman said after he went missing: 'Police are very concerned for the welfare of missing 12 year old Joseph Steeley who was last seen at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary on the night of 10th August 2022.
'Joseph is 5'2' tall, slim build and last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, black trousers, dark and orange Karrimor trainers.
'Joseph has a head injury after taking off his bike and needs to return to hospital.
