Newark Teen Assaulted by Brick Inside Sock During Argument with Three Suspects

NEWARK, NJ – A female teen in Newark was assaulted by another wielding a brick inside a sock on Wednesday.  According to police, she was struck in the face and then threatened with a handgun.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 6:10 p.m., a female victim was hit in the face by a brick inside a sock that was thrown at her in the area of Lyons Avenue and Osborne Terrace following a quarrel with the three pictured suspects.

“The victim entered her vehicle and was followed by the suspects, who entered a black Cadillac with a New Jersey temporary registration of X471325. The back-seat passenger, inside the suspect vehicle, then pointed a handgun at the victim through an open window,” Frage said. “Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the three suspects as part of their investigation.”
