Police are seeking the suspect who attempted to rob a North Huntingdon bank Wednesday afternoon.

The man tried robbing the PNC Bank on Norwin Avenue, about 45 minutes before it closed that day, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.

The robber told a teller he wanted money and was armed, but she replied that she did not have any cash in her drawer to give him.

He fled the bank without any money, police said and drove away from the shopping center in a black BMW.

Detective Tom Harris said the police are working with the state police to try to get its license plate number.

The attempted robbery suspect is a white man, who was wearing what seems to be an Adidas bucket hat. He had a surgical mask and reflective sunglasses during the incident.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the car he was driving is asked to contact North Huntingdon police at 724-863-8800.
