The Todd County Chamber of Commerce has announced plans for the 9th annual Todd County Bail Trail where participants across the county display sculptures made of rolls, bales, or loose hay. Executive Director Tiffany Groves says all Todd County families, businesses, and non-profit organizations are encouraged to participate in the 2022 Bail Trail from September 24 – October 31.

According to Groves, the Todd County Bail Trail began in 2014 and this will be the ninth year for the event, which organizers believe to be the first of its kind in Kentucky. She says the event aims to promote local businesses and tourism while celebrating Todd County’s rural lifestyle.

Groves indicates the Bale Trail, which lasts over a month and covers the entire county, is the biggest tourism event of the year for Todd County and brings in thousands of out-of-town visitors.

Prizes will be awarded for “Most Creative,” in three categories: Private Residence, Business, and Non-Profit. The displays will be judged on originality, creative use of materials, attention to detail, and overall effect.

Groves says prizes will also be awarded for “Fan Favorite,” which will be voted on by the public via the Todd County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page from October 1-31.

There is no entry fee to enter, but Groves notes that all participants must submit an online entry form by September 9. Those forms are available on the Todd County Chamber of Commerce website www.toddchamber.com or by email request at info@toddchamber.com.
