A nearly naked and apparently impaired Leitchfield woman has been arrested on burglary and drug charges after illegally entering a South English Street property before walking around South Main Street in Leitchfield wearing nothing but a shirt.

Wednesday night at approximately 10:15, Leitchfield Police Department Sgt. Keith Harrell and Officer Tamara Jupin, along with Grayson County Deputies Sean Fentress and Caleb Owens, initially responded to the 300 block of South English Street on the report of a “female under the influence,” according to the arrest citation.

The 911 caller told Central Dispatch that “the female was witnessed to be inside their greenhouse wearing only a pink shirt,” the citation states.

As police were en route, the woman, later identified as 34-year-old Alisha N. Logsdon, was spotted between Southgate Mall and FiveStar Food Mart on South Main Street. When officers arrived on the scene, though, she had left the area.

As police scoured the streets off South Main Street and nearby areas, Fentress spotted a backpack in the breezeway of Southgate Mall. The deputy took custody of the backpack, and less than a minute later, Owens found Logsdon lying down in a yard at 116 East Shain Drive.

Logsdon identified the backpack as hers, the citation states, and during a search of the gear, police located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Further investigation, including video surveillance, showed that Logsdon attempted to enter a South English Street residence, and successfully entered a greenhouse on the same property. She, according to police, was inside the greenhouse for several hours where she shed her clothes except for a shirt.

Logsdon was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), third-degree burglary, second-degree burglary (attempt), public intoxication (excludes alcohol), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
