The price of gas in Russell County is now sitting at $3.49, according to the AAA price tracker.
That represents a 45-cent drop from July 21, when the average price of gas was at $3.94
Looking at neighboring counties that are lower than Russell, Casey County is at $3.43 and Adair County is at $3.44.
The price of gas is at least 10 cents higher in other neighboring counties.
In Cumberland County, the average price of gas is at $3.59 and $3.61 in Pulaski County.
Clinton County wasn’t far behind at $3.62 and Wayne County has the highest gas price of neighboring counties at $3.66.
