AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police identified the man who died at a hospital Wednesday night after a shooting in the East Riverside-Oltorf neighborhood.
APD said Marvin Flint, 27, was walking along Oltorf Street when someone approached him and shot him.
Police said they were called to the 2100 block of E. Oltorf St. between Burton Drive and Douglas Street at 9:09 p.m. That’s just east of Interstate 35.
Based on the police investigation, Flint knew the person that shot him, and was targeted. Detectives are still trying to locate a suspect, APD said.
Austin-Travis County EMS said paramedics took the adult patient to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.
On Thursday morning, Austin Police went on to investigate three other, separate shootings that occurred within three hours.
