Florida man arrested following alleged abduction

NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. — Nicholas County authorities arrested a Florida man on Wednesday for allegedly abducting a female juvenile.

According to the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department, Thomas Edward Grossman III, of Tampa, Florida, had traveled from Florida to Pennsylvania and abducted a female juvenile. Grossman was traveling back to Florida with the 14-year-old at the time of his arrest.

Members of the Summersville Police Department, Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department and the West Virginia State Police located Grossman’s vehicle and the female juvenile in the car.

Grossman faces charges of abduction of a person. The Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the matter.
