LAPD Ofc. David Boe Bids Los Alamos Farewell

One of the most beloved police officers in Los Alamos, Ofc. David Boe, is retiring Friday. He stopped by the Los Alamos Daily Post newsroom Wednesday to say goodbye and play one last time with newsroom mascot Oli M. He spoke of several highlights of his career starting with his graduation from the New Mexico Police Academy, later teaching at the academy, earning a Top Driver Award, two Officer of the Year awards and teaching bike patrol techniques to many officers at LAPD and surrounding agencies. Ofc. Boe also served as the Department’s Fleet Manager, updating numerous processes including equipment inventory and maintenance record documents. ‘Many incidents have touched my life during my time at LAPD and here in the Los Alamos community … I am going to miss my colleagues and the public I’ve interacted with.’ Ofc. Boe and his wife Cindy will be moving to a new home in Rio Rancho. Photo by Carol A. Clark/ladailypost.com
