(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 55-year-old Long Grove man who allegedly fired a gun after yelling at two teens who mistakenly pulled into his driveway now faces a felony weapons charge, Lake County Sheriff’s police say.

Tuesday night, deputies responded to the 1800 block of Pheasant Run for a report of shots fired, officials said. Two teens — a male and female — told them they had been visiting a friend’s home and pulled into a driveway next door by mistake.

Vladan Mihailovic demanded to know why they were there, they told deputies. When they attempted to explain, he allegedly became loud and argumentative and ordered them to leave. When the teens pulled away, Mihailovic produced a firearm and fired two rounds, authorities said.

Lake County prosecutors approved a charge of reckless discharge of a firearm — a Class 4 felony — the sheriff’s department said.

The department also filed a “clear and present danger” form with Illinois State Police, which can revoke gun permits in certain circumstances, officials said.
