Local man wounded in shooting

Police are asking for the public’s help finding the person or persons responsible for a 50-year-old man found suffering from gunshot wounds in the Springfield-Leggett Road area.

Officers at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday responded to a report of a shooting with injury in the 1700 block of Cox Avenue, police spokesman Cpl. Ricky Jackson said early Wednesday afternoon in a news release.
