A historic flour mill in northeast Oregon was destroyed in a fire Wednesday morning.
According to the Associated Press, firefighters initially doused a small fire at the at the Pendleton Flour Mill on Tuesday afternoon, however, it reignited at about 4 a.m. Wednesday.
They say the building was soon fully engulfed because of the dry grain stored in the mill.
There were no reports of injuries.
The thick smoke could cause breathing problems for people with asthma and other respiratory issues, officers said, saying people should try to stay indoors.
By about 9:30 a.m., firefighters said they were still working to fight the fire from several angles, using a drone to check for more hot spots.
The building is considered a total loss, the Associated Press reports.
The fire had closed the Umatilla County Courthouse. Officials say all state court operations will be moving to the courthouse in Hermiston at 915 SE Columbia Drive.
