Fans can get their fix at sister restaurant Provino’s

Scalini’s Italian Restaurant, a mainstay in Smyrna for 40 years, is shutting down due to difficulties in finding staff, owners have announced. “It’s such a sad time,” founder Joe Bogino told CBS46. “I guess I didn’t realize until recently how much it meant to everyone.”

But all is not lost. Bogino posted on Facebook that customers can get their Scalini’s fix at sister restaurant Provino’s, which has seven locations around the Atlanta area. “Provino’s serves the famous eggplant parmigiana that has been served to expectant mothers at Scalini’s for decades in hopes of speeding up the delivery process,” he wrote. “Provino’s also serves the complimentary pasta specialty dinner to you on your birthday just like Scalini’s did.” Details: cbs46.com
