Lebanon High School experienced heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) control panel issues Wednesday which is believed to be caused by lightning that occurred Tuesday evening.
Not all parts of the building are affected, but some classrooms at the mid and upper levels are experiencing warmer than normal room temperatures, according to Wilson County Schools (WCS).
Public Information Officer for WCS Bart Barker said that no actual HVAC units have been damaged, just the control panel. Some parts of the building may feel warmer than others due to this issue.
Some students Barker talked to were aware of an increase in classroom temperature and others said they did not notice a difference.
WCS maintenance has been working to help resolve this issue and will continue to do so throughout the rest of Wednesday.
