Judge White To Hear Stinson Murder Case

During Wednesday’s Trigg County Circuit Court session, it was revealed that Judge Natalie White will be hearing the case of Landon Stinson — charged with the double murder of 76-year-old Sue Faris and her 28-year-old nephew, Matthew Blakeley.

Stinson, lodged in Christian County Jail on a $2 million bond, was not present with his attorney, Bill Deatherage.

However, Commonwealth’s Attorney Carrie Ovey-Wiggins noted a conference call was soon approaching with White.

Circuit Judge Jamus Redd said that if Ovey-Wiggins, Deatherage and White make a decision on when the next date should be, to alert his office.

Faris and Blakeley were found dead in her Cerulean home. Autopsies determined they both died from gunshot wounds.

Stinson was extradited from California and back to Kentucky in September 2021 to face a separate charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance. In December 2021, an indictment from a grand jury doled out a true bill for those two counts of murder.
