Crisfield Arts District exhibit highlights iconic buildings, brings history to life

CRISFIELD, Md. – The Crisfield Arts and Entertainment District is bringing back a popular exhibit highlighting historic buildings in the area.

The collection titled Historic/Iconic Buildings will focus on the impact these locations have made on the community.

Those structures don’t just stop in Crisfield but actually stretch throughout Somerset County.

The Arts District tells 47ABC, this exhibit allowed them to bring history to life through the power of a paint brush. “People around here care a lot about their history and their culture and things that have made that person impact on their lives or lives of their past family members. So it’s really cool to engage the community in that new way,” Crisfield Arts District Coordinator Meredith Lehan said.

The opening reception for that exhibit will be Friday, August 12th from 5 p.m.-7 p.m at the Somerset County Arts Council Gallery.
