Lady Patriots start season with three wins

The Lady Patriots softball team started the season off with three wins. The Patriots took over in the sixth inning against Leake 16-2; Marvell Academy was close 3-2; and Columbia Academy 2-1.

In the sixth inning the Marshall Academy Lady’s brought in eight runs. Molly Anderson, Megan Brewer, Eliza Cavender, Kyleigh Milliorn, Gracie Rappa and Kamdyn Taylor each had RBI’s in the big inning.

Eliza Cavender was Marshall’s winning pitcher striking out four and walking zero and allowing ten hits and three runs over five and a third innings.

Milliorn led MA Lady Patriots with four hits in five at bats. MA total 20 hits in the game. Brewer, Rebecca Brigance, Charlie Johnson, Milliorn, Rappa, Cavender and Taylor managed multiple hits.

The Rebels tallied ten hits and didn’t commit a single error in the field.

Lady Patriots vs Marvell academy 3-2

The Lady Patriots cinched the win Friday night’s game against Marvell Academy 3-2.

Marshall Lady’s only allowed five hits.

Kamdyn Taylor had a four bagger in the third inning.

Molly Anderson, Megan Brewer, Kyleigh Milliorn, Landry Loper and Taylor each had multiple hits with a total of 11 in the game.

Patriots defeat Columbia academy Cougars 2-1

The Lady Patriots and Cougars were strong but the Patriots won the game 2-1.

MA opened the game scoring in the first inning, Gracie Rappa doubled on a 01 count, scoring one run.

Patriots Cavender allowed only three hits to the Cougars. She surrendered one run on three hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Milliorn, Brewer and Rappa collected one hit each. The Lady Patriots did not have a single error on the field.

Milliorn had four changes in the field, the most on the team.
