The Nebraska State Fair is out with their sweet and savory food items that will be available at this year’s event.
Marketing Director Ray Massie tells KLIN News Hall Family Foods is back with a new item that is sure to please. He says, “The OMG Chicken Sandwich. Now, this is a chicken breast, lightly battered, covered in sugar-coated corn flakes, fried to golden brown and topped with bacon. It is then served on a glazed donut.”
Massie says they also have sweet potato tots that are served with cinnamon, marshmallow crème and caramel. The Hawaiian Chill Dole Whip Nachos are cinnamon sugar crisps with pineapple or strawberry whip, strawberry sauce, sprinkles, whipped topping and a cherry.
Other favorites will be back that include nachos, tacos, pizza, burgers, ice cream, drinks, and much more.
Other new food vendors will include:
• Wicked Good Foods — Freeze-dried Skittles, Milk Duds, Jolly Ranchers and more
• OMG Cupcakes Galore — Cupcakes and cookies in a bucket
• NC Creative — Pineapple and watermelon slushy served in a real pineapple and watermelon shell
• Tri Boba Tea and Coffee — Specialty coffee and Boba teas
• Naan on Wheels — Authentic Indian food
• Sambo’s — Wood-fired pizza
The Nebraska State Fair runs Aug. 26 through Sept. 5 in Grand Island.
