Caesars came to her asking if she’d like to open a restaurant in her frequent travel destination, but “I never dreamed it would be this beautiful, this fantastic and the food so delicious,” Stewart admits. “This restaurant, The Bedford, is modeled after my own home in Bedford, New York. I live on a farm. I have lots of farm animals…I grow my own vegetables. The house is a simple 1925 farmhouse. But the subtlety of the colors and the simple, beautiful furniture and the antiques are all emulated right here in this beautiful Bedford restaurant. I’m thrilled!”

To create what she deems is “one of the prettiest restaurants in Las Vegas,” Stewart teamed up with a couple familiar friends. Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Executive Vice President and Executive Director of Design Kevin Sharkey helped add chic details to the space. Keep an eye out for an accurate replica of Stewart’s brown faux-bois dining room, and hanging copper pans in a variety of sizes from the MARTHA by Martha Stewart collection help make the restaurant kitchen feel like home, Stewart says.

She also tapped 2017 James Beard Award winner and the Executive Vice President of Culinary at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Thomas Joseph, to dial in the menu.

“The ingredients are very important to me. You can not make a delicious dish a ‘Martha Stewart recipe’ without the very best ingredients. I’m fussy about that,” Stewart says in the sizzle reel. “We’ve looked for the farmers, the purveyors, the local suppliers who would give us the most beautiful ingredients for our recipes. And they are doing so!”

The dinner menu of French-inspired cuisine is accented Stewart’s personal favorite recipes. (The full lineup, including wine list and cocktails, is coming soon online here.)

“These are the same dishes that I serve to family and friends in my own home,” she confirms.

Starters include a Classic Niçoise Salad and Oysters Rockefeller. For entrees, cozy up to a plate of Whole Roast Herb Chicken carved tableside paired with Stewart’s signature smashed baked potato served with crème fraiche, chives, and bacon lardons. Feeling fancy? Add caviar. Just be sure to save room for a slice of Upside-Down Lemon Meringue Pie. All can be paired with your beverage of choice, such as a Martha-rita or a glass of Stewart’s California chardonnay from 19 Crimes.
