Teachers at St. Mary Catholic Community School in Crown Point welcomed a flood of students and parents who eagerly poured into the building to start the first day of school on Wednesday, August 10th.  A similar tradition has been followed since the school opened in 1872, but was put on hiatus during the last two school years.  “Our assistant principal, Mrs. Kozlowski, brought out a speaker and blasted fun music and the atmosphere was so happy and positive this morning.  I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to see all those smiling students and their parents flowing into the building.  We’re finally back to normal!” said Principal, Tom Ruiz.

St. Mary’s offers grade levels Junior Pre-Kindergarten (for three-year-olds) through grade eight.  St. Mary’s faculty teaches a rich curriculum supported by leading-edge technology.  Preschool starts next week and the school is currently accepting new students for the 2022-2023 school year.  Applications can be conveniently filled out online.  To learn more about St. Mary’s School, schedule a tour, or find the application portal, visit school.stmarycp.org or call 663-0676.
