It has been a little over two months since Louisa, Ky., native Noah Thompson became the season 20 American Idol champion and the search for the next superstar has already begun.
American Idol has brought back virtual auditions this year. These auditions are being held via Zoom, which is where you have the opportunity to show off your singing talents in front of an American Idol producer.
"The really cool thing about virtual auditions is that you can be anywhere and audition for American Idol," American Idol Producer Melissa Elfar said.
Elfar added that Kentucky native Noah Thompson also auditioned via Zoom for the show last season.
West Virginia's virtual auditions were held Monday, Aug. 8, however, American Idol tells WCHS that you can audition on another state's day.
Virtual auditions continue across the Tri-State on Wednesday, Aug. 17 in Kentucky. The show will host virtual auditions for Ohio on Monday, Aug. 29.
Additional information on the application process, including age restrictions can be found online.
